FHB Update from KY, 05/19/14

According to the FHB prediction models, wheat that is now in anthesis is at low risk for infection by the FHB fungus. I concur. For wheat that flowered during rainy weather, it takes a good 21 days before disease symptoms are fully expressed where infection occurred. Generally, other wheat diseases are minimal across the state at this time.
