The 2020 National FHB Forum will feature a virtual poster room. Everyone is welcome to submit a poster. There won’t be any scheduled poster sessions; posters will be virtually available to registered Forum attendees to view for one week (Dec 5th-11th).
Poster presenters need to attend the corresonding Research presentation session for their poster, where there will be a short Question & Answer period towards the end of the session for Forum attendees to ask questions about the posters.
When submitting a poster, the first author will need to select one of ten research categories that best fits their poster: Barley Coordinated Project; Durum Coordinated Project; Hard Winter Wheat Coordinated Project; Variety Development and Host Resistance for the three Nursery Coordinated Projects: Spring Wheat, Northern Soft Wheat and Southern Soft Red Wheat; FHB Management; Food Safety and Toxicology; Gene Discovery and Engineering Resistance, or Pathogen Biology and Genetics. Registration for posters is now open! See POSTER/PAPERS for more information.
Flash & Dash presentations are for graduate students, post-docs and early career professionals. Presenters will create a short (5 minute) 'Flash and Dash' video with associated PowerPoint presentation (3 slides max.) of the work highlighted in their poster. This exercise is expected to increase the visibility of your research, and attract interest for your poster. Selection of Flash & Dash Presenters will be based on a review of submitted abstract or paper. Individuals who indicated an interest in giving a Flash & Dash Presentation associated with their poster will be notified no later than November 19. NOTE: Space is limited to not more than six (6) Flash & Dash Presenters per research session.
On-line registration is now open and advanced registration is required. To register for the 2020 National FHB Forum, click here.
Forum participants can report research results in one of the following formats: 1) poster plus associated paper; 2) poster with an associated abstract; or 3) stand-alone paper. Invited speakers are encouraged to submit either an abstract or paper associated with their talk. For both options 1 and 2, there is the option to indicate interest in giving a Flash & Dash presentation if you are a Post Doc, Graduate Student or early career professional. There is no limit to the number of poster abstracts or papers submitted by one author.
Registration for posters and papers is now open. Please click here for more information on the submission of poster/papers for the 2020 National FHB Forum.
The Proceedings, which will be available (electronic format only) prior to the start of the Forum, are not meant to act as a formal scientific reference but rather as a means of increasing communication both during and after the Forum. Reproduction or referencing of reports can only occur with the author's permission.
