PROTOCOL FOR SUBMITTING SAMPLES:
- Sample Size and Type: 10 - 100 g of a representative whole seed or ground sample. If ground, the particle size of samples should be sufficiently fine to resemble whole wheat flour (see "Sampling Grain for Deoxynivalenol (DON) Analysis: A Researchers Guide" on the USWBSI website).
- Packaging and Labeling: Pack samples in coin envelopes (A size of #5.5 envelope is preferred, i.e., 3 1/8” x 5 1/2”) and label them with sample numbers that correspond to the submitted datasheet. The sample numbers should be consecutive. You should secure sample envelopes with rubber bands (see example 1).
- Datasheet: An Excel spreadsheet includes sample numbers and PI´s information (see example 2). Please email datasheet to email@example.com when submitting your samples and enclose a printed copy with your shipment.

Date considerations: We take samples year round, but data turn around time depends on time of year and how many samples are already submitted.
